Southbrook Golf Course

southbrook golf course

I had the opportunity on business to play the South Brook Golf Course located in Binbrook Ontario, Canada. What a treat! The course was lined with large Oak and Pine trees making accuracy off the tee a premium. but it wasn’t too tough for me. The course has some elevation changes to it and made it fun with several lies where I had to manipulate my stance and shoulder lines to accommodate the slopes. The course was a good test but like I said not too tough. southbrook golf courseThey also have three set of tees to play from so you can pick your poison.

The driving range was nice and warm up balls good for practice. They featured a brunch the day we were there and we took the opportunity to eat. I think it must have been a Sunday. The prime rib they had on the buffet was awesome! I had that with an assortment of swaets they also had available. I know not the best choice for someone trying to loose a few pounds to play some better golf! Anyways the restaurant was clean and had good service so I gave this part of their operation a 10 out of 10 rating!

My game that day was a little hit or miss but I managed to get it around in 76 a good score for me. The greens were smooth and fast and better to what I am accustomed to. I really liked how they putted. I made a bunch of 10-15 footers for par that saved my round. I guess when it comes to Hamilton Golf this is one of the best tracks around there.  Not far from Southbrook is the home of the Canadian open Hamilton Golf Club a legend among Canadian courses in this area.  This is obviously a private facility that we could not get access to.
